Colleen Kennedy began working for Bill Graham Presents in 1980 as the receptionist and assistant to the Head of the Box Office. In 1985 Colleen became head of Bill Graham Presents Box Office. She oversaw all ticketing and guest list activities for every Bill Graham show from 1985 until 1992, when she left Bill Graham Presents to work for Bill’s son David Graham. As Head of the Box Office she interfaced with the ticket agencies, musicians, band’s agents, band’s managers, record labels, publicists, various outlets and the public. In addition to overseeing every detail associated with ticketing and guest lists for every Bill Graham Presents show, Colleen worked hundreds of events in the Box Office, she did front of house settlements with tour accountants at the end of events, she sold thousands of tickets directly from the Bill Graham Present Office and established herself as one of the Bay Area’s most respected show professionals. After her tenure at Bill Graham Presents, she continued to provide Box Office Services for all Bill Graham presents Grateful Dead Shows until 1995. She runs the Box office for a 6,000 capacity Amphitheatre at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphy California. In recent years she has provided Box Office Services and staffing for many events including: The Black & White Ball, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Stone Soul Picnic, Footstock(Bay to Breakers), Kate Wolfe Festival & Earth Dance. Her skills and experience as an event producer, production professional and artist representative give her a great overview and understanding that add to her expertise in Box Office.
